Capacity Building

Supporting young trans persons and community based organisations in their leadership journeys

Youth Capacity Development

Misfyt’s  capacity development work is focused on creating support systems and building resources for trans people to lead their own change.  We intend to create a space for knowledge is shared, partnerships are built, trust is nurtured amongst community leaders and community-led organisations. Together we can create a larger change by investing in community leaders.

Toolkit for Youth Org Building

Youth are the fastest-growing demographic, yet they are often left out of crucial conversations about change and impact. We believe in the power of young voices and are committed to helping them take the lead in creating positive change. With this in mind, we’ve developed a comprehensive Toolkit for Young Leaders to help youth start and grow their own organizations.

What’s Inside the Toolkit:

Our toolkit provides essential resources and practical guidance for young leaders who are ready to make a difference in their communities. The toolkit is designed to help individuals navigate the early stages of starting an organization, offering clear steps, expert advice, and easy-to-use resources. We have created a toolkit that teaches young leaders how to start their own organizations.

The Toolkit consists of sessions and resources on :

  1. Registering an organization
  2. Fundraising
  3. Partnerships

This toolkit contains videos from experts in the field as well as templates and samples to make the start of your organization smooth and successful

Together, we can ensure that no one has to endure the harm of Conversion Therapy. We are committed to continuing this important work and pushing for a future where these practices are fully banned.

Consortium of youth-led organisations

The consortium aims to create a collaborative platform where youth-led organizations can:

  1. Share Knowledge: Exchange insights, best practices, and experiences to strengthen each organization’s impact.

  2. Share Resources: Pool resources such as tools, training materials, and expertise to benefit all member organizations.

  3. Share Funding Opportunities: Identify and share funding opportunities to support projects that align with our collective goals. Raise funds together as a consortium

  4. Collaborate on Projects: Work together on initiatives that address common challenges and leverage each other’s strengths.

  5. Organization Building: Arrange capacity-building sessions for leadership teams to enhance organizational effectiveness.
